For the love....

I had the opportunity to go for a walk last night with my daughter. We went out to the north pier in Grand Haven and walked. It was a beautiful night. Slight breeze; great temperature. It was awesome. These times are always great for exercise; but more importantly talking with Becca. She has some great insights. I enjoy hearing about her day. I am constantly humbled when I see that "know your children's school" advertisement on tv. Stop the world - I want to get off.

What a crazy night? I am wrestling with God on some issues and I did not sleep well last night. So I am tired. That is not a good way to show up at work. Part of my job is being creative. It is hard when the sleep tank is low. Not to mention, it rained like a monsoon this morning. SO I sit at my desk, review my tasks for the day, tired and wet. Not a good combination.

Hey, I will stop whining for now.

Rain down, rain down on me....

Have your tried Grand Haven's south pier?

My advice for the day: stop wrestling with God. You'll never win. Sorry about the sleep deprivation though. Rainy days are always great for a nap, though. Can you fix a spot under your desk for one? Some of the most creative companies in the US have sleep tents in their offices so their employeed can take up to 30 minute siestas. Maybe you should run that one by the boss.

That's right. Like Steve said. The most progressive companies in America with the most visionary leadership support their employees with sleep centers. Perhaps your leadership is visionary and progressive enough to support your creativity this way. Couldn't hurt to ask, could it? BTW, nice to see all the links to the other bloggers restored. Truly, it is truly a tight community of "bro's" supporting each other in their walks by blogging. Wasn't nice to leave anyone out.

C-Man,

There's a time for wrestling...it can be good exercise too...

John Kerry:
When I'm elected President I will mandate sleeping for all employees and 30 hour work weeks like France. In fact I want to model our country after France. Mr. Clark a vote for me is a vote for napping!
